When I see you
I see the tears that you have carried for so long.
When I see you
I see the burden that you bear, I see you trying to be strong.
When I see you
I see the fears that tear your world apart.
When I see you
I see the agony that through countless years has been branded on your heart.
When I see you longing to be free
I see the architect of your destiny,
And when I see you longing to be whole
I see your soul.
When I see you
I see the living light that glows within us all.
When I see you
I see a soul that knows its purpose and is waiting to be called.
When I see you
I see a death-defying beauty that has too long been subdued.
When I see you
I see an undernourished spirit that is hungering for truth.
When I see you longing to be free
I see the architect of your destiny,
And when I see you longing to be whole
I see your soul.
When I see you
I see pain, I see trust, I see hope and despair.
When I see you
I see the promise of a new day being tenderly prepared
When I see you
I see an ever-growing longing to be whole.
When I see you
I see the fire of devotion that is burning in your soul.
When I see your spirit growing wings and learning how to fly,
I am overcome with a love for you as sweeping as the sky.
And when I see you tearing down the walls that fortify your heart,
I pray that God may enter there and guide you ever more.
